Nicaragua has a thriving society with lots of cultural activities, often very entrenched in normal life. Less then in many other countries, it is not for the tourists, but very genuine and…. extremely colorful and loud. Always its a great opportunity for noise, be it music, parades, speeches. But in the end: Nicas dance, dance and dance.

Podcasts from ‘cita con la noche’ to improve your listening skills of spanish and gain other insights

Are you ready for some longer and deeper hearings in Spanish? John, a very fine and, let’s be honest, advanced student of Maria enjoys his frequent listening to ‘City con la noche’.  Reflections from Spain in Spanish!

Very much focused on family and personal challenges and/or reflections. Categorized as mental and psychological talks, there is something in it for everybody.  The podcasts are easy to download to your tablet or smartphone, so start using those endless hours in traffic jams to gain twice!

Thanks John for the great suggestion!

A night at the ‘verbena massaya (folklore in Massaya)

students Rob, Dennis, Marianne and Richard went with Maria to Massaya for an evening of practicing spanish, dance, music, a good walk and a cosy taxi ride back (5 plus driver :-)). Although the dances were a bit meagre compared to normal performance, it was more than made up for by the fine group chats & fun.

A good night in Massaya for practicing spanish, relaxing and fun in the group and loud, very loud music and colourful dances
